Gehrig's - a family in the country

We have been a part of North Dakota since mom and dad drove us back and forth across the state in the late 1970's. We saw the beauty in nature with the many landscapes. We know people who don't look close say, "it all looks the same". These are the same people who say, "you've seen one sunset you've seen them all". We saw the beauty in the people of North Dakota through our many experiences with the many flat tires we got across the state. My father decided used tires were a great way to save money. My father never seemed to fully appreciate the cost of sitting on the side of a remote highway with seven kids, a steaming wife, and 90 degree weather. But did we have memories? And how!
Fast forward to our farm in Kindred. The sunsets are still as amazingly beautiful as ever. The people of North Dakota are the true treasure. Ask anyone who has lived elsewhere, or ask anyone who has moved to North Dakota. Or, better yet, simply sit and talk to anyone in North Dakota and you'll learn about the greatest treasure in the US, the people of North Dakota.
So, who are the Gehrig's? We are family working, living and loving the people and land around us. If you want to name us, we are Chris and Karen and our four kids, Peter, Katie, Henry and Mary. If you want to find us, simply look outside. From the hot days of summer spent working in the raspberry fields, high tunnel, barn or mowing, to the sub (sub) zero days of winter and pulling the kids on sleds and skis behind the truck down the snow-drifting, minimum maintenance road, or skating on the pond.
We hope you'll get time to come out and visit. And do take the time to look a little closer.
